Thirfty Thursday

Yes, ladies and gents it is that time again! To hear about a fabulous find of mine! Today I will show you what .75 cents got me at a garage sale.

I actually walked past these bad boys (three of them!) and came back to them...I would of had total buyers remorse if I passed them up.

I love old vintage things in my kitchen and that is where I thought they would end up but I decided that they would be perfect to hold craft supplies. I plan to get my craft on this summer with my two boys so this will work out perfectly! I am storing them in our laundry room which is right off of our kitchen and family room! (ignore the clutter, the room can never stay clean!)

What fabulous finds did you snag this week?

Zumba, Zumba!

So, I am going to totally ignore the fact that I haven't blogged since last summer and move right along...

My dear sister-in-law tried for almost a year to get me to go to Zumba with her and I flat refused. I thought to myself, no way can I ever exercise for an hour without passing out and looking like a loser.

On New Year's Day (this year) there was a perfect storm. I was in a good mood (surrounded by family and food in front of me), it was New Year's day and one of my resolutions was to get healthier for my boys and most importantly, I was ready to exercise and get in shape.

I had no expectations going into my first Zumba class. I heard remarkable things about our instructor and knew it was a really popular class. Luckily, my 16 year old niece came with me too. She stayed in the back with me and giggled and chuckled throughout the class. I was amazed at how well everyone knew the moves and when one of the instructors told me I would know all the routines in 7-8 classes I literally laughed out loud. Sure, I love to dance but I have never taken any organized dance classes...EVER.

So where am I now, nearly five months later? I am in LOVE with Zumba. Shockingly, I do know all the routines and I love the music, the people, the energy, the sweat and the instructors. I look forward to it, I need it and I can't imagine not going anymore. After a rough day with the boys I love to get my aggression and frustration out in the form of dance.

A friend of mine posted the below picture on Facebook and it couldn't be more true:

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog...until next time!
